Rhytidectomy to lift and tighten the face and neck — addressing jowls, deep folds, and skin laxity that non-surgical treatments cannot correct.
A face lift (rhytidectomy) is the definitive surgical solution for moderate-to-significant facial ageing — specifically jowls, deep nasolabial folds, loose neck skin, and loss of jawline definition. At Kaya, we perform SMAS-layer face lifts — addressing the deep structural tissue, not just pulling the skin. This delivers natural, long-lasting results without the tell-tale "windswept" appearance of skin-only techniques.
Incisions are made at the temples, continuing around the ears and into the hairline/behind the ear. The SMAS (the fibromuscular layer beneath the skin) is elevated and repositioned superiorly and posteriorly — correcting descent at the deeper structural level. Skin is then redraped without tension, and excess is removed. A neck lift (platysmaplasty) is typically performed simultaneously for complete lower face and neck rejuvenation.
2–3 weeks before appearing in public. Bruising and swelling for 3–4 weeks. Drains for 1–2 days. Sutures removed at 7–10 days. Most clients return to office work at 3 weeks. Full recovery and final result at 3–6 months. Scars are placed to be hidden within hairline and ear contours.
